7th Annual Ashville Viking Festival
Apr 24, Apr 25, 2010 10 am - 5 pm Sat/Sun. The Village of Ashville located 30 minutes South of Downtown Columbus, Ohio has volunteered the use of the Village Park for the location of a gathering of various Historic/Living History groups from throughout the area. The primary time being depicted will be 10th century Viking, but for educational purposes, other time periods may be represented. We have averaged around 4000 people in attendance. Entertainment Combatant's Keep - historical entertainment, jousting and equestrian arts. Bob ford the Ragamuffins - folk songs and lore. The Daring Douglasses - pyratically themed fire consumption stage show. Graham Irish Dance School. the Hard Tackes - music of the high seas. Minstrel Woode. Odin's Orchids from Laylia's Dance Studio. Juggling with Stuartsik Siskonovich. And Scops Storytellers to entertain the wee ones. It is to be a family oriented, Living History event with plenty of room for fun.
